ABOUT IFDN
IFDN was founded in 2013 by a group of six independent foodservice distributors located in Western Canada.
We define ourselves strategically as independent foodservice distributors serving independent foodservice operators and camp business. Chain business is minimal, is limited to small regional players and is not a focus of IFDN. Our market penetration in Western Canada is developing, and we are very relevant in our individual markets.
We compete directly with other broadline and specialty distributors. Our diverse geography and local warehousing gives us a distinct advantage and is a major image of difference to our customer base. Focused on providing best value and service to our independent operators, we will act as stewards to keep them strong and profitable.
IFDN is a dynamic company that has been well received in the industry. We are real distributors doing real business with real operators.

IFDN MANAGEMENT
Our management team is led by our President, Barry Altmiks who has spent over forty years in the retail/foodservice industry. Barry has managed retail grocery stores, foodservice cash and carry operations and served in a senior management position overseeing the foodservice division of a large wholesaler. Barry holds a diploma in Marketing and is driven by a passion for the food industry.
