IFDN-IPAC STRATEGIC ALLIANCE
Independent Foodservice Distributor Network (IFDN) Ltd. and Independent Purchasing Alliance of Canada (IPAC) Inc. are pleased to announce that they have entered into a Strategic Alliance Agreement effective February 1, 2014.
The IFDN-IPAC alliance is the result of a shared commitment to offer impactful services and business solutions to our established network of independent distributors focused on growth.
ABOUT IFDN
On September 4, 2013, a group of six independent foodservice distributors founded Independent Foodservice Distributor Network (IFDN) Ltd. They are focused on strengthening their relationships with suppliers, operators, industry and each other. Through these relationships and leveraging their collective size, their vision is to improve purchasing and marketing initiatives, operations, knowledge, communication and growth. This group of broadline distributors surpass $70 million in sales, employ over 100 people and occupy over 100,000 square feet of warehousing space in Alberta, B.C., NWT and the Yukon.
ABOUT IPAC
Independent Purchasing Alliance of Canada (IPAC) Inc. was formed July 1, 2003 by a group of independent paper, packaging, janitorial and foodservice distributors. In its 10 plus years of operation, IPAC has grown significantly and continues to expand. They have formed many relationships with master distribution channels of supply and with manufacturers on a direct basis. Currently IPAC has 12 locations in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.
With respect to our valued suppliers, the IFDN-IPAC strategic alliance will be structured to focus on each groups inherent strengths. As such, IFDN will be focused on growing relationships with all food related suppliers and IPAC will be focused on growth in the paper and disposable categories.
Members of both groups are excited to work with one another and the supplier community. IFDN and IPAC strive to become the voice of Independent Distributors in Western Canada.
